Father Ken Lewis, Rector

Father Ken Lewis has been serving as our priest at Grace Anglican Church since the end of 2012.  He and his family have been a part of our church family since 2011.  He is a retired Navy Chaplain, and is thoroughly enjoying being back in the role of pastor.

After receiving his Master of Divinity degree in 1990 from Asbury Theological Seminary in Wilmore, Kentucky, Father Ken served three United Methodist churches before becoming an Anglican priest in 1996.  He then served as a Navy Chaplain until retiring in 2007.  His Navy career included sea duty in Guam, a chapel and battalion in Hawaii, and as the Marine Aircraft Group-29 Chaplain at MCAS New River, NC.  Father Ken was deployed as the Forward Aviation Combat Element Chaplain in Iraq in 2003.

Father Ken lives with his wife Elizabeth and their sons Andrew and Aaron in New Bern, NC.  In addition to serving Grace Anglican Church, Father Ken works full-time as a Life Skills Trainer for Marine Corps Family Team Building at the Marine Corps Air Station, New River, NC.  In this capacity, his responsibilities include teaching various relationship workshops and classes to Marines, Sailors, and their family members.
